Sunshine Heroes Spreads Holiday Cheer with Sunshine Christmas 2018
December 2018 – Sunshine Heroes Foundation’s annual Sunshine Christmas campaign has once again brightened the holiday season for local children and families. Every December, the foundation works with businesses, individuals, and volunteers in the community to purchase, organize, and deliver Christmas gifts to those in need.
For Sunshine Christmas 2018, Sunshine Heroes provided participating companies with Sunshine Christmas trees, each adorned with paper ornaments representing a gift to be donated. These ornaments reflected specific needs such as clothing, toys, and books for local children. Sponsors were asked to provide two new articles of clothing, two new toys, and at least three books for each child, with an approximate donation of $200 per family.
“Sunshine Christmas is more than just about giving gifts. It’s about coming together as a community and providing the opportunity for families to enjoy the spirit of Christmas,” said a representative from Sunshine Heroes. “We want parents to have the experience of wrapping their own gifts for their children, creating that special holiday magic themselves.”
This year’s Sunshine Christmas event also provided the unique opportunity for volunteers to personally deliver the unwrapped gifts to families. This gesture not only made a tangible difference in the lives of children, but it also allowed the community to build meaningful connections with the families they were serving.
Through the dedication of local businesses, individuals, and volunteers, Sunshine Heroes Foundation was able to spread joy and make the holidays brighter for many families in the community.
