Sunshine Heroes Expands Impact in Bocas Del Toro, Panama with New Sunshine Center
Bocas Del Toro, Panama – In a continued effort to empower communities in Bocas Del Toro, Sunshine Heroes has partnered with Give & Surf to open a new Sunshine Center in the region. This marks the second collaboration between the organizations, following the success of their first project in Bastimentos in 2017.
The Sunshine Center, located in the heart of Bocas Del Toro, features essential community amenities including a kitchen, bathroom, library, playground, and computer lab. These spaces will serve as hubs for a variety of educational programs aimed at improving the lives of local residents.
The center will offer programs in hygiene, sanitation, healthy eating habits, English as a second language, and vocational training, all aimed at equipping individuals with valuable skills and knowledge. The center will be staffed by local professionals, with additional support from international interns and volunteers who will help guide and supervise these initiatives.
This project is set to directly impact over 10,000 individuals, providing a valuable resource for the community. With a total cost of $20,000, the new Sunshine Center is a testament to the power of community collaboration and international support.
“We’re excited to expand our partnership with Give & Surf and see the positive impact this second Sunshine Center will have on the Bocas Del Toro community,” said a representative from Sunshine Heroes. “This is just one step in our ongoing mission to bring education and hope to underserved communities around the world.”
