Birendranager, Nepal – Sunshine Heroes Foundation, in collaboration with People’s Foundation Nepal, has opened a much-needed health clinic in Birendranager, located near Chitwan, Nepal. This clinic will provide healthcare services to a rural population of 542,000 people who previously had to travel 1 to 2 days to access medical care. The new clinic is a lifeline for the community, aiming to reduce the region’s infant mortality rate, which previously saw one in every six children die before their first birthday.

The Sunshine Heroes Foundation’s generous donation funded the purchase of essential medical equipment, including an x-ray machine and other lab tools. Additionally, the clinic will offer maternal and pediatric care, along with basic educational training to the local population on how to better care for their health needs.

By providing these crucial services, the clinic is expected to reduce infant mortality in the region by 60%. More than 15,000 people are expected to benefit from the clinic’s services each year, leading to healthier, happier lives and greater access to vital healthcare.

“We are so grateful to have been able to help bring this clinic to Birendranager,” said a representative from Sunshine Heroes. “Improving access to healthcare is essential to saving lives and building a healthier community. We hope this clinic will have a lasting impact on the people of this region for many years to come.”
